Do you know?

A thousand clouds dance their approval
All literature becomes one Meta narrative

Look out of your window
A thousand little boys dance smile understand

And friendships are strengthened
Over coffee cups and Shakespeare
And polymer tables at the office café

You aren’t lost enough to be found
And we don’t look for you in memories
For you are known seen heard

Words, now perhaps you had some help there
With their building their syntax their sounds

But their beauty, that’s yours alone
Be it this language or the other

No one can know you me or the fool on the hill
Not really not truly

You know you can win
The reason?
Look out of your window
A thousand little boys dance smile understand
Oh yes, they know

Changing days into changing nights
Shadows come shadows linger
Then they go.
They won’t ever stay

It’s the same with people.
We are all immortal.

Our masks protect us we’d like to think
No one can stand naked pain
Or bruises on your backs

You may tear yours away
But only if you want to
That is something no one else can touch.

Sometimes our masks are us.

Do you want faith?
Then look out of your window
A little boy smiles sweetly shyly but knowingly

At a butterfly as he idly kicks a football.

You would hate to be immune
To the passions that run through you
that make you the dreamer the fighter the friend

So what is strength?
Standing up to the ones you love
Or standing up for the ones you hate?

And whose reality is this anyway?
Do you see yourself in my dreams or yours?

When you are tired, weary
Look out of the window
A thousand little boys will smile back at you
As they shout papa papa
And run helter skelter

When you are shouting for help,
Those little boys cower in the corner
For they are afraid
Don’t frighten them

Don’t frighten yourself.

You are whole
You are strong
You are the one with the poetry.
